The City of Opelika is excited to be hosting the 2022 ARPA State Swim Meet!

We will not accept or respond to any parent emails about the state meet. Please have your team coach reach out with any questions. Thank you!

State Meet Documents


Important Information for Parents

  1. Coaches’ check-in will be in the Adult Activity Center (hospitality), which is located down the hall pass the front desk.  You will receive all deck access credentials for coaches in this room, pay entry fees, pick-up team packets, etc. here.  The room will be open Thursday at 4:30 pm, as well as throughout the weekend.  Officials will also check-in in this room throughout the weekend.
  2. A coaches meeting will take place at 5:00 on Thursday. This meeting will be for turning in any scratches you have the Friday sessions. We will not re-seed events.
  3. Friday and Saturday AM Warm-Ups: 7:15-9:50 am, Meet starts @ 10:00 am. I have attached warm-up assignments for teams.  The afternoon warm-up will be an “Open” Warm-up.
  4. We are asking that all teams with over 20 swimmers attending the meet provide timers. A link is provided below for your parents to sign up. PLEASE forward this link to your families. https://vmodcui.active.com/responsive/eventGroups/2391032/jobs
  5. Heat sheets will be for sale, $5 per day. We will meet mobile during the meet. We will post results throughout the building for those without meet mobile.
  6. Parking will be $5 each day. We will provide Golf Carts to help transport anyone needing it.
  7. Team setup will be in gym or the courtyard. NO one is allowed to be set in the hallways or lobby area.
  8. TVs will be set up throughout the building for viewing the races.
  9. NO ONE is allowed to set up on the pool deck. PLEASE, PLEASE tell your families if they do not have a swimmer swimming to move off the deck so that other parents can view their swimmer. We also ask that spectators respect the Handicapped seating.  We do not allow “reserving seats” in the spectator or athlete seating on deck.
  10. We have limited coaches sitting/tables on deck. Please do not allow you older swimmers or swimmer/coaches to take up space on deck. If you are a team with 5-6 coaches, please remember the smaller teams coaches need a place to sit as well.
  11. Due to new Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy updates, the locker rooms in the pool hallway will be ATHLETE ONLY.  Coaches, Officials, and Spectators will use the lobby bathrooms and the bathrooms in the hallway near the meeting rooms.  Please ask your athletes to only use the Locker rooms for all of their needs. 
  12. Victory Designs will be on site selling t-shirts. First Place Athletics will be on site selling suits, goggles, and any other swimming needs beginning Friday morning.
  13. EMS will be on-site throughout the weekend.
  14. Food Vendors and Concessions will be on site throughout the weekend.
  15. Opelika Swim Team is hosting a Coach and Official reception at Red Clay Brewing, Friday starting at 6:00 pm.
  16. A coaches meeting will be immediately following the last swim on Friday in the hospitality room. This meeting will be for scratches for Saturday. We are hosting a “open discussion” on ARPA swimming rules.
  17. Heat sheets, timelines, and other important information will be provided to coaches in your coach’s bags.
